Chris and Stacy
One of the things that gives me great joy in life is performing weddings.  I have been a licensed minister since 1987.  I have been teaching relationship and communication skills in various places around the world since 1985.

It is my aim to assist couples (of all orientations) in designing a unique, creative and personal wedding ceremony that reflects their beliefs and values, and includes rituals of significance to them as well as any family traditions or customs from their heritage that are meaningful to them.  I perform weddings that are religious, nondenominational, interfaith, secular and spiritual according to the wishes of the couple.

My process includes spending time getting to know you and finding out as much about each of you as I can.  What brought you together?  What is unique about your connection?  What are things that you share and enjoy doing together?  What are your differences, and how do they enhance your relationship?  This is an opportunity to highlight your values about love and relationship in a way that truly reflects who you are and connects you to your community.  We can Kit and Harrisonaccomplish this by meeting before the ceremony, either in my office or by telephone or Zoom or Skype.

If you wish, you can include your family and friends in your ceremony in a variety of ways: they might read a poem or quote that is meaningful to you, or share in a candle lighting or the giving of flowers.  If there are children involved in your lives, allowing them to feel included in your wedding day and your future together is important and needs to be handled responsibly and delicately.

Choosing live or recorded music that is meaningful to you as a couple is also important.  There are many magazines and websites that can help you plan venues, dress, flowers and menus for your special day.

Marriage License:
It is recommended in the state of California that you apply for your marriage license from the county clerk at least one month prior to the date of your wedding. Both of you will need to be present with proof of your identities and ages.  In the case of any previous marriages, you must also show proof that you are no longer legally married.  In the state of California blood tests are not required.  For more information, go to the California Marriage License, Registration and Ceremony Information.
